AI Fund is a venture studio founded by Andrew Ng that co-founds artificial intelligence companies, taking them from idea to market. Rather than investing at arm's length, it acts as a minor co-founder, joining entrepreneurs at the earliest stages - including pre-seed and sometimes before a pitch deck exists. The studio provides technical validation, market validation, business expertise and operational support, and it helps recruit core teams, drawing on an extensive AI ecosystem.
Founders are surrounded by a "tiger team" of business leaders and technical experts who work alongside them to de-risk ideas rapidly and scale quickly. The technical scope spans the AI stack, from machine-learning applications to AI infrastructure tooling, and portfolio work reaches industry verticals including healthcare, financial services and supply chain logistics.
Named portfolio companies co-founded with the studio include Workera, Factored and Baseten. Companies in the portfolio have raised over $370 million from investors such as Sequoia, NEA and Softbank.
