Cartography Biosciences applies machine learning, computational biology and therapeutic engineering to the identification of highly specific tumour targets. Founded in 2020, the company builds precision cancer therapies that aim to improve drug efficacy and safety by targeting tumour-specific proteins, and it works across single-cell genomics, antibody engineering and logic-gated target combinations.
Two discovery platforms underpin the work. ATLAS draws on petabyte-scale proprietary datasets spanning hundreds of thousands of cell states across healthy tissues to pinpoint highly specific tumour targets. SUMMIT combines large-scale single-cell profiling of patient tumours with machine learning to identify targets and logic-gated target combinations, including bispecific T-cell engagers.
The lead program, CBI-1214, is a bispecific T-cell engager designed for maximal tumour selectivity in MSS/MSI-L colorectal cancer; it entered Phase 1 clinical trials in early 2026. The company holds strategic collaborations with major biopharma partners including Gilead and Pfizer. Work is organised around interdisciplinary teams spanning machine learning, computational biology and therapeutic engineering.
