Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is an entertainment and sports agency founded in 1975 and headquartered in Los Angeles, with offices in New York, Nashville, Chicago, Miami, London, Munich, Geneva, Stockholm, Shanghai and Beijing - 11 locations across the US, Europe and Asia. The firm represents talent and organisations across filmed and live entertainment, sports, digital media and brand marketing. Its technical and commercial domains include digital media, technology start-ups, media finance, venture investing and brand marketing services.
CAA has built a series of businesses that extend well beyond traditional representation. It was the first agency to create an investment bank, the first to launch a venture fund and found technology start-up companies, the first to form a brand marketing services division, the first to establish a philanthropic arm and the first to build a business in China. Its sports practice represents more than 2,000 of the world's top athletes across football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer, including athletes, coaches and on-air broadcasters, and the agency has been named Most Valuable Sports Agency by Forbes for nine consecutive years. Further divisions cover publishing, fashion, sponsorship sales and endorsement deal-making.
Majority ownership passed to François-Henri Pinault and Groupe Artémis in September 2023, in a transaction valued at $7 billion. The agency states its mission as identifying, innovating and amplifying opportunities for people and organisations that shape culture, and describes a culture of collaboration, client service and workforce diversity.
