Dandelion Health is a clinical AI infrastructure company founded in 2020. It supplies AI developers, life sciences companies and healthcare organisations with multimodal, de-identified real-world clinical data at scale, used to build and validate clinical AI products. The work spans machine learning, multimodal data aggregation, EMR data processing, medical imaging, physiological waveforms and streaming monitoring data, natural-language processing of clinical notes, and the evaluation and validation of AI algorithms.
At the centre of the business is the Digital Biobank Platform, which aggregates de-identified clinical data from multiple U.S. health systems. The collection covers more than 10m patients and includes structured EMR data, unstructured clinical notes, medical images, waveforms, video and continuous streaming monitoring data, with records dating back to 2016. Alongside it sits a Clinical AI Marketplace, connecting developers of algorithms with life sciences companies working on drug development and clinical research.
The company also powers the American Heart Association AI Assessment Lab, which provides independent, scientifically rigorous evaluations of cardiology and other clinical AI algorithms against real-world performance data. Dandelion Health was founded by experts spanning health tech, hospital systems, academia and clinical AI, and operates primarily in the United States. Its stated priorities include independent evaluation, high-quality representative patient data and the development of responsible clinical AI products.
