Inscribe builds AI-powered risk intelligence software that detects document fraud for banks, lenders and fintechs. Its platform, Inscribe AI Agents, applies agentic AI and layered detection techniques to financial documents, validating formatting, structure, metadata and contextual signals to identify deepfakes, pixel edits, metadata tampering and coordinated network fraud schemes. The company says its models are trained on millions of applications each year and are used by hundreds of banks and credit unions, along with other financial-services institutions, particularly in the United States.
The technology draws on several disciplines: machine learning, computer vision applied to financial documents, image forensics for pixel-level edit detection, metadata and tampering analysis, and network analysis for identifying organised fraud schemes. Inscribe employs in-house risk analysts and data scientists whose domain judgement feeds into the systems, an approach that stems from the founding team's direct experience with manual review operations in fraud detection.
Founded in 2017 by Irish brothers Ronan and Conor Burke together with Oisín Moran and James Eggers, the company is headquartered in San Francisco. Its stated focus is on fighting document fraud and developing new approaches to risk intelligence for the banking, lending and credit-union sectors.
