PharmaEssentia U.S.A. is the American arm of a fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company founded in 2003. The firm develops therapies for rare blood cancers and hematologic diseases, built on a novel pegylation technology platform designed to realise the therapeutic potential of interferon. Its technical work spans interferon-based biologics, cGMP biologics manufacturing, oncology and hematology, and it maintains a world-class cGMP facility in Taichung alongside operations in the United States, Europe, Asia and beyond.
The company's lead product, BESREMi, is an approved treatment for polycythemia vera, developed using the pegylation platform.
