Sofascore is a sports technology company founded in 2010 that operates a real-time platform for live scores, sports data, insights and ratings. The system is built around several technical domains relevant to engineers working at scale: real-time data processing, large-scale data engineering, sports analytics, algorithm development and high-throughput web infrastructure. The platform serves a worldwide audience and supports more than 40 languages.
The scale of the operation is substantial. The live score platform processes more than 350 billion requests a month and carries over 1.2 PB of monthly traffic, generating more than 35 TB of data. Coverage spans 25 sports and over 20,000 tournaments.
