SwiftComply is a mission-driven software company that builds cloud-based compliance and communication management tools for the water and wastewater sectors. Founded in 2016 with roots in Dublin, Ireland, the company develops a unified SaaS platform covering backflow prevention, stormwater (MS4), industrial pretreatment and FOG (fats, oils and grease) programmes for water utilities. Its software is used by more than 700 organisations across North America, supporting utilities that together serve over 50 million people.
The platform has grown through acquisition as well as in-house development. SwiftComply has bought three compliance products: ComplianceGo, CloudCompli and NPDESPro, the last focused on NPDES permitting. The company's work sits at the intersection of cloud platform development, regulatory data management and field operations, and it was named Water Utilities Compliance Management Software of the Year in 2025.
SwiftComply's founding team reflects its subject matter. The company was founded by Mick O'Dwyer, a former wastewater engineer at Dublin City Council, and its staff include wastewater engineers, inspectors and compliance professionals with direct experience of water programmes. That expertise shapes a product agenda focused on replacing manual, paper-based processes, cutting administrative workload and raising compliance rates for utilities.
