TheIncLab is an engineering firm that builds intelligent digital platforms and human-centered artificial intelligence - its "AI+X" approach - for customers in defense, the U.S. government and commercial sectors. Founded in 2015, it describes itself as the first human-centered AI lab of its kind. Work spans mission planning systems, autonomous systems control, airspace management, multi-domain sensor data fusion, and human-machine teaming, alongside rapid prototyping, UX/UI design, software development and systems engineering.
The company maintains a portfolio of purpose-built platforms: Nyx for mission planning, LEAP for autonomous systems control, Kronos for airspace management, Iris for multi-domain sensor data fusion, and Atum for rapid prototyping. These systems are designed to be modular, secure by default and interoperable from the outset, with an emphasis on making complex real-world environments usable by human operators.
Technical staff work in multidisciplinary teams of engineers, software developers and UX/UI designers, organised around customer problems rather than single disciplines. TheIncLab is a women-owned small business headquartered in Tampa, Florida, with additional offices in McLean, Virginia, and Nashville, Tennessee.
