Founded in 2008, Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) is a pro-liberty youth movement that builds activist networks through education, training, and mobilization on college campuses in the United States. Its core work focuses on advancing principles of limited government, free markets, and personal liberty.
YAL operates several key initiatives: Liberty Chapters, with over 500 chapters nationwide; Operation Win at the Door, mobilizing activists to knock on over 6 million doors to elect pro-liberty legislators; and the National Liberty Legislator Coalition, a group of state legislators that has helped pass more than 1,000 pro-liberty bills.
The organization works within the political advocacy, youth education, and campus activism sectors, emphasizing activist training and large-scale mobilization efforts across its network.
