Binti is a San Francisco-based software company, founded in 2017, that builds a SaaS platform for child welfare agencies in the United States. Its foster care and adoption licensing software digitises and automates the paperwork-heavy processes by which agencies license families. The company reports that the product reduces paperwork by 20-40% and helps agencies license about 30% more families on average.
The technical work spans government and child welfare software, workflow automation, process digitisation and SaaS platform development. Engineering teams work on systems used by more than 550 agencies across 36 states and the District of Columbia. The company says its software supports nearly half of all children in the U.S. child welfare system, and that more than 100,000 foster and adoptive families have been approved through it.
Binti employs roughly 90 people. Its stated culture emphasises a mission of putting children first, treating team members as owners, and taking the best ideas regardless of source. The company describes an expanding ambition to rewire government systems so that they work more effectively for families.
