Hexens is a blockchain security firm founded in 2021 and headquartered in London. It performs security audits and line-by-line code reviews for blockchains, protocols, critical infrastructure, cryptography and autonomous AI systems - environments in which the tolerance for error is zero. The company's work sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence: reviews are augmented by frontier AI technology, and autonomous AI systems themselves fall within its audit scope.
Every engagement is handled by two independent security teams working in parallel, a configuration intended to deliver coverage beyond the standard audit scope. The firm's approach is deliberately thorough, extending to code review conducted line by line. Its reported record includes more than 300 completed engagements with no post-audit exploits, over $120 billion in digital assets secured, and a client retention rate of 91%. Some 90% of audit reports have contained critical or high-severity findings.
The team comprises senior security researchers, among them CTF champions and bug bounty leaderboard veterans. Hexens raised a $4.2m seed round in 2022, led by IOSG Ventures, which is funding the development of new security products and the expansion of its cybersecurity service coverage.
