NorthBay Health is Solano County's locally-managed, nonprofit healthcare provider. Founded in 1959 by civic leaders and physicians, it operates two acute-care hospitals and a network of primary and specialty care practices serving communities in Fairfield and Vacaville, California.
NorthBay Medical Center, the system's Fairfield hospital, has 154 beds and is designated a Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Receiving Center, Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. NorthBay VacaValley Hospital, in Vacaville, is the second acute-care facility. Between them the system covers primary care, cancer treatment, orthopaedics, heart and vascular care, neuroscience and spine services, women's services, trauma care and urgent care. NorthBay Health is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
Technical and clinical work spans healthcare and hospital operations, trauma care, cardiovascular and stroke care, oncology, orthopaedics, neuroscience and spine, women's health, and primary and specialty care medicine. The organisation states a commitment to providing conveniently accessible, high-quality care to the community.
NorthBay Health describes itself as guided by five values, referred to as NORTH: Nurture, Own It, Respect, Build Trust and Hardwire Excellence, which the organisation says govern its interactions with patients, colleagues and the community.
