Its technical work spans optimistic rollup technology, zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized infrastructure and smart contract programming languages, including Rust and C++.
The product portfolio comprises Arbitrum One, the leading Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution, which offers faster transactions and lower fees with full compatibility with existing Ethereum smart contracts and tools; Arbitrum Nova, built for high-volume applications requiring ultra-low costs; Arbitrum Orbit, a framework for launching customizable chains; and Stylus, which allows developers to write smart contracts in Rust, C++ and other popular languages. The company also develops Prysm, a leading Ethereum consensus client, following its acquisition of Prysmatic Labs.
Offchain Labs has raised $124 million in funding and operates as a distributed team spread across more than 19 countries. Its stated priorities include research and development at the frontier of blockchain infrastructure and continued involvement in open-source projects within the Ethereum ecosystem.
