Axiom builds zero-knowledge proof infrastructure, giving developers the tools to build applications on ZK technology through open-source zkVM frameworks and proof-generation services. Its work sits at the intersection of cryptography, formal verification and systems engineering, spanning a modular instruction-set architecture and toolchain design through to high-performance proof generation. The company, which raised $20 million in a Series A round, serves the crypto and fintech sectors.
Its principal product, OpenVM, is an open-source modular zkVM framework that allows developers to verify the correct execution of arbitrary computer programs. Modularity and extensibility are designed in at the level of the ISA, the toolchain and the ZK proving systems themselves. The framework produces proofs of under 300 kB at a 100-bit provable security level, with the correctness of the zkVM formally verified. Alongside it, the Axiom Proving API offers production-ready, high-performance ZK proof generation at scale as an infrastructure service.
The engineering culture reflects the open-source focus of the codebase, with an emphasis on modularity and extensibility in how systems are built and on making advanced zero-knowledge cryptography accessible to developers. Axiom is actively expanding its team across these technical domains.
