Restorative Pathways is a social services organisation that provides safety, healing, and empowerment to survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other forms of trauma. Founded in 1971, the organisation established the nation's first shelter for survivors of domestic violence and has since expanded its reach across the Bay Area from its base in Hayward, California.
The organisation operates multiple residential facilities, including Betty's Village, Casa de Ruby, Her House, His House, and Solara House. Its services span emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health counselling, substance use disorder treatment, and comprehensive wrap-around support. These programmes address immediate safety needs as well as longer-term recovery and stability.
Restorative Pathways is led by survivors and employs a multicultural, multi-disciplinary team that takes a client-centred, trauma-sensitive approach. Its technical domains encompass social services, trauma care, and substance abuse treatment.
