The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation is a philanthropic foundation working to build a more equal and resilient world by bringing people together to support each other through community, research-based content and programmes. Founded by Sheryl Sandberg, former COO of Meta, and inspired by the legacy of Dave Goldberg, the foundation focuses on women's empowerment, education and scholarship, and mental health and resilience.
The foundation runs four key initiatives. Lean In is a community and programme that inspires and equips women to lead, helping women and allies build the skills, confidence and networks they need to reach their full potential. Lean In Girls helps young girls see themselves as leaders in a world that often tells them they are not. Option B helps people build resilience and find meaning in the face of adversity. The Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program empowers diverse young leaders through financial support, mentorship and professional development.
The organisation's work is grounded in research-based content and programmes, with an emphasis on community, mutual support, mentorship and allyship. Its commitment to diversity extends to supporting diverse young leaders through scholarship and professional development. Further information is available at https://sgb.org/.
